As the month of April 2024 came to a close (okay I'm a bit behind, but I've had a hard month, okay?!), it's the perfect time to reflect on the progress I’ve made over the past month as a way to reflect, be grateful for how far I've come, and help me figure out where I'm headed next.

How I Did This Month

  • Blogging can be incredibly rewarding yet challenging at times. On one hand, there's the joy of sharing your passion, connecting with your audience, and seeing your platform grow. But on the flip side, setbacks like the loss of a Pinterest account can feel like a huge blow.
  • I recently experienced this firsthand, and it was tough. Suddenly, the traffic I relied on for my blog plummeted from about 20 outbound clicks per day to essentially zero.
  • It's disheartening to see your hard work seemingly vanish overnight.
  • However, these moments also serve as valuable lessons in resilience and adaptability. Despite the setback, I'm determined to rebuild and keep moving forward. It's a reminder that in the world of blogging, perseverance is key, and every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.
  • I keep thinking about how I want to adjust moving forward.
  • I'm not sure I can keep up with 20 blog posts per month. It is difficult and time consuming, but most importantly I'm not sure if the quality is the best it could be.
  • I haven't settled on a new strategy yet, but I keep thinking about how I can do all the things. I've learned that diversifying my traffic sources, and income is super important.
  • I'm trying to figure out how I can balance writing blog posts, and promoting on instagram with reels.

As I navigate through this blogging journey, I am genuinely grateful for the chance to share my experiences, insights, and aspirations with you. I hope you gain a lot from witnessing my monthly progress and that it inspires you to start or continue on your own blogging journey.

Goals for Next Month

Looking back on this month's blogging journey, I'm reminded of its ups and downs. Setbacks have taught me important lessons, pushing me to keep going.

As I think about making changes, finding a balance between quantity and quality, and diversifying where my readers come from and how I make money are on my mind.
