Join me in the second month of blogging as we explore plugins, Pinterest strategies, and content optimization to elevate our blogging game.

In the second month of my blogging journey, I added plugins, honed my Pinterest profile, and learned lots by watching and listening to YouTube and Podcasts. Here's a glimpse into the steps taken during this exciting phase.

Exploring Plugins and Themes

WP Recipe Maker and Thrive Theme

  • Experimented with WP Recipe Maker on Thrive Theme and Architect.
  • Encountered limitations in switching between editors, causing coding crashes.
  • Explored the Shortcake alternative within Thrive Architect.

Other Plugin Considerations

  • Considered Tasty Recipes for Thrive Architect compatibility.
  • Weighed the higher cost against WP Recipe Maker.
  • Opted to assess current tools before additional investments.

Focus on Pinterest

Learning from Influencers

  • Delved into Pinterest strategies from influencers like Anastasia Blogger and Katie Grazer.
  • Invested in Tailwind and Pin Inspector for efficient Pinterest management.

Setting Up Pinterest

  • Crafted a content calendar and master plan with themed days.
  • Utilized Black Friday deals to acquire Pin Inspector and WP Recipe Maker.
  • Wrote additional blog posts using new and existing photos.
  • Conducted competitor research for a refined Pinterest strategy.

Goal Setting and Learning

  • Defined quarterly long-term and short-term goals.
  • Continued learning through free resources like YouTube videos and podcasts.

Lessons Learned for Content Optimization

Insights from Brandon Gaille's Blogging Millionaire Podcast:

  • Implement font size (18), increased line height (1.6), and shorter sentences (20 words max).
  • Focus on mobile-friendly content, avoiding long sentences.
  • Maintain structured paragraphs with 2 to 3 sentences, occasionally using 1 sentence.
  • Aim for posts ranging from 2000 to 5000 words.
  • Replace conclusion paragraphs with transition paragraphs.
  • Schedule email outreach on days with high RPM for future ad implementation.

In the second month of blogging, I decided on installing a few plugins and testing them out, developed a Pinterest strategy, and learned more about content optimization. With goals set and valuable insights gained, I'm excited to propel my blog into the next phase of growth. Stay tuned for more updates on this thrilling journey! I can't wait to earn my first few dollars 🙂
