Gain insights into my blogging journey including strategies, and personal growth. Learn where I focused my efforts in my third month.

As I reflect on my blogging journey from December 12th to January 12th, I can't help but feel a mixture of accomplishment and challenges. It's been a rollercoaster ride of troubleshooting, learning, and setting new goals. Let me walk you through the highs and lows of the past month.
Technical Hurdles I Experienced:
One of the major challenges I faced was with my website's functionality. Certain blog posts weren't loading properly across different web browsers, and I struggled to get Thrive Architect to cooperate. After updating everything – from plugins to themes – and doing a thorough backup, I thought I had solved the issue. However, it persisted, leading me to create a new homepage and systematically deactivate plugins until I identified the culprit: Jetpack website security. While I temporarily deactivated it, I plan to delve deeper into its settings to ensure compatibility with my site. I’m not sure why it was causing issues for my blog.
Activities I Completed:
- Certain blog posts not loading properly on various web browsers
- Struggled with Thrive Architect
- Solution: Updated plugins and themes, identified Jetpack website security as the issue
Website Redesign:
Redoing my homepage was no small feat. It took me two days to revamp it and address other pending design issues like making the site responsive for tablets and cell phones. In total, it consumed three days of focused effort, but the result was worth it. With a fresh look, I could redirect my attention to what truly matters – content creation.
Activities I Completed:
- Two days to redo homepage and fix design issues
- Focus on responsiveness for tablets and cell phones
My Content Strategy:
Recognizing the importance of consistency, I decided to increase my posting frequency from five days a week to daily updates. Moreover, I replaced copyrighted images with copyright-free alternatives and added affiliate disclosure statements where necessary to maintain transparency.
Activities I Completed:
- Increased posting frequency from 5 to 7 days a week
- Replaced copyrighted images with copyright-free alternatives
- Added affiliate disclosure statements
Goals for the Future:
While I've made significant strides, there's still much to accomplish. In the upcoming month, I aim to create Pinterest pin images for each blog post and leverage Tailwind for scheduling.
Additionally, I plan to delve into Instagram by studying reels from similar accounts and gradually immersing myself in the platform.
Though I've encountered tempting courses and mentorship opportunities, I'm determined to limit my spending and seek free or affordable resources, like the $7 trial of InstaClub Hub.
Activities I Planned:
- Create Pinterest pin images for each blog post
- Utilize Tailwind for scheduling
- Begin exploring Instagram by studying reels from similar accounts
Lessons I Learned:
Perhaps the most valuable lesson from this month was realizing that success doesn't always require complexity. By observing successful Instagram accounts, I discovered that consistency and mastering a few key techniques can yield significant results. Whether it's repeating a simple reel format or showcasing daily Amazon hauls, simplicity can be surprisingly effective.
Activities I Completed:
- Success doesn't require complexity; consistency and mastering key techniques are key
- Simplify content creation and engagement strategies for effectiveness
In conclusion, my third month of blogging has been marked by technical challenges, website redesign, and a renewed focus on content creation and social media engagement.
As I look ahead to the next month, I'm excited to tackle new goals and continue learning and growing as a blogger.
